2008 MyCHip Event!
MYCHIP-Massachusetts Youth CHild Identification Program-is coming to
Bedford on Saturday, May 31, 2008. This program is free to the public
and will be held from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Bedford Fire Department,
55 The Great Road, Bedford MA. The MYCHIP program provides tools to
help law enforcement authorities find and identify a lost or missing
child.
Massachusetts Freemasons invite children age 18 and younger to participate
in the most comprehensive child identification program of its kind.
Each child will have a brief videotape interview, will be fingerprinted
by police personnel, and will have a cheek-swab and Toothprint®
bite impression made by professional dental personnel. All materials
are given to the parents for safekeeping. No copies are kept on file
and the program is free to all.
This program is presented by members of the Frank W. Thompson Masonic
Lodge with the assistance of the Bedford Family Connection and the Bedford
Woman's Club, in cooperation with the Massachusetts Dental Society and
Bedford Police Department. Since 1988, over 250,000 children have participated
in MYCHIP throughout Massachusetts.
